Multimedia technologies with plastic interventions.

Following the presentation of the event “O Cante Acusmático de Pias” With videomapping on the façade of the Salvadore’s Church, in the opening of the Artes à Rua (Arts program for Evora, 12 July 2018) a performance was experienced with the use of convencional plastic arts to provide the multimedia intervention of an organic nature. It has resulted in real-time action dynamics, real performance intervention that close up the various media, conditioned in its digital, programmatic and virtualist universe of the Human, improvised and emotional fields.

In the continuation of our artistic action we find it essential to convey This practice so that new forms can be reached in the hand of others, the That brings us to this workshop in response to the project of Educating City of the arts to the school, which we hope will be quite fruitful.

On this day, some teachers and students from the arts courses Received us and had the joy of sharing knowledge and Try out new forms of expression.

Equipment we used in videomapping with plastic intervention table:

  • Camera DSRL (Canon 550D – USB computer connection)
  • Tripod or frame that allows vertical fixation of the camera over thetable
  • Computer with extra monitor output (we used a MacBook)
  • Camera Live: Software for streaming cameras (MAC)
  • Syphon: Program for live image transmission between applications
  • Camtwist: Software for real-time video effects
  • VPT: Video Mapping and control software (with image backgrounds, video, Syphon)
  • Table with plastic performance area
  • 2-sided illumination, white light (+ 6.000 k)
  • Projector Video (10,000 lumens p event) (4,500 LM for tests) lenses according to the projection distance (Throw ratio)

We were very pleased with the interest and imagination of the group of Students who participated in the workshop. In the theoretical introduction we could Describe our missive experimentation that is based on the demand for Organic plastic forms in the technological and digital ways of making art. It has been described with some detail the method we have elaborated and the Technological ‘ paraphernalia ‘ with its sequence of connections.
Some theoretical approach to the history of this type of art Permophatic, particularly in relation to the local universe which also has Had their artists who accompanied the couple artistic movements out of borders.

The experiments resulted in very interesting visual frameworks, using means as distinct from acrylic to alcohol, paper, oils on water, body projection or on a small scenario assembled with different volumetrias. The images are processed in real time which allows variations on the produced graphic compositions. It is a work that only works in its full if it is participative. It stimulates the synchronicity between performances.

We hope to repeat the experience, contacts are being made with Other schools to extend to other young people and teachers. With these School Extra-currículo exercises open up possibilities for training Exchange of ideas that lead all participants to increase the Creative intent, so necessary for the responsiveness of the Individual in the dynamic world in which we live.
